About Us
The NGO has its roots in Delhi and thereafter we spread to other states, including Rajasthan. Our motto is to help the needy and give back to the Mother Nature. We are actively working in the field of Education, Health awareness, Women Empowerment and Environmental causes.
Our current project encompasses catering to environmental pollution and reduction in deforestation while making lives of the people in rural Rajasthan better.
Why Green Cookstoves?
- 30% more efficient than traditional three stone fire stove (मिटटी का चूल्हा).
- Improved cookstove helps prevent upto 4000 Kg of CO2 emissions per year.
- Improved cookstoves enables a 45-55% reduction in the consumption of firewood as fuel.
- Reduces deforestation, environmental pollution.
- Reduction in Green House Gases emission mitigating the Ozone layer threat across the globe.
- Saves the wastage of School/Study time of the girl and the boy child, required to collect the firewood.
How?
We aim to empower rural households of Rajasthan with improved cookstoves absolutely free of cost.
The project will have two stages:
Survey
Our team will identify potential rural areas in the selected districts of Rajasthan. Our surveyors will then survey the households in the selected areas to identify beneficiaries. We will raise awareness among people on the cons of using traditional cookstoves and the pros of using the Green cookstoves being distributed free of cost by us.
Distribution
After the data is collected on the digital platform, and the beneficiaries are identified, the free cookstoves will be distributed the beneficiaries. They will also be educated on the usage of the new Green cookstoves. This would be followed up by regular monitoring of the households of the beneficiaries.
